Now that I have properly figured out how to steal pictures off the Forever21 website, we can finally get down to business. First up is this lovely jade bamboo mock-wrap dress. Much cuter in person, the print is very Diane Von Furstenberg in nature. It drapes very well. A must see for anyone on a spring dress budget. A steal at under $30.

...and now various Kimono styles thrown in for good measure:

Mother of Pearl

elouai's doll maker 3 I have fully captured the true essence of Holly and myself in doll form. I am quite pleased, really.
Darling peeptoe sling backs with punch cut detailing throughout.
LOVE! Cross your fingers in hopes that I ordered the right size.

Cute or no?
Definitely with a different colored belt. Maybe a navy blue ribbon or a deep plum to match the print.

Late breaking news...

H&M is coming to Pasadena.

This is AMAZING!!! Europe's largest fashion retailer, cheap-chic fashion powerhouse Hennes & Mauritz, a.k.a. H&M, will be making its Southern California debut.

This is the most exciting news I've heard all year.

Yes, I know we are only in March.

Yes, I know I need to get a life.

This vintage dress is being sold on eBay right now at the current bid price of $91 !!! Sheesh, it's cute but not THAT cute. This can easily be found at any old thrift store. *sigh* Never ceases to amaze...

Oh and grandpa's attic called.
It wants its furniture back.
It's been slow reporting on the shopping front lately. My specific shopping ban on toiletries has been going fairly smoothly. I almost caved at the drugstore on a Burt's Bees lipbalm in a new honey flavor. I'm a sucker for new flavors. But I stayed strong.

Target has lovely new wrap dresses in super soft material. And I did manage to pick up the apple green Luella pencil skirt. The last one, and it is a very flattering cut. I even heard the collective gasps of all the Burbank gals as I walked out of the dressing room. Well, just one girl anyway. She was a cute Asian gal with streaked orange hair if memory serves me. She was shopping for clothes with her equally punky boyfriend. And as I walked out of the dressing room I heard her gasp to her boyfriend that I got the last one. Aww.. I was empathetic, but thrilled to have found it first. May she be blessed with good shopping luck too :)

Wrap dress also comes in black. So cute but I already have something similar so I passed.

estate sale notes

What sells like hotcakes:

  • lotions (avon, bath & body works, victoria's secret)
  • makeup (gently handled MAC blushes & lipgloss, Nars foundation, Jane eyeshadows)
  • shoes
  • baby clothes
  • purses

A total flop:

  • candles
  • scraps of material
  • university textbooks
  • knifes (!!!)

It was real hit or miss in the adult clothing department.
Stuffed animals made good gifts with purchase.

About 95% of shoppers are women.
peak hours I would estimate to be between 8am to 12noon.

I scored these amazing blue peeps off of ebay! Brand new and way below original price. You might remember I posted about them being sold out in stores before xmas last year. *beams* :D
