So what's a girl to do when she is broke? Well, in true shopaholic form, a trip to both the thrift store & 99cents store is in order.
Notes of Passing Interest:
Getting married soon? Impress your friends & family with a chocolate fountain as your table centerpiece. Found several brand new ones for sale.
The strange man who decided the Disabled American Veterans thrift store was
the new Barnes & Noble. He was comfortably seated in one of the couches that was for sale, reading the latest novel he pulled out from the used books section. He wasn't leaving any time soon either. The baby blue coffee mug that read 'Proud Godfather' with a diaper pin
background. After much consideration, I decided it was very sad that the godfather donated his coffee mug to the thrift store. Guess he wasn't so proud after all.Find of the day: Darling blue & white striped Free People cotton skirt with flower embroidered motif. A mere $4. Score!
The 99cent Store proved just as exciting with a pink & green vintage inspired dish towel, 2 Jergens Extra Moisturizing hand washes (in that lovely cherry almond scent), and a bottle of uncoated Aspirin for grinding up and using as a mask.
Yes. The Aspirin Mask. Proud sponsor of the US Olympic Team.
Just kidding. The recipe has been passed down to me from Makeupalley. The salicylic acid does wonders for the skin. Please read about it here, if you're so inclined: mua mask
- ps. Whenever I do a spell check, they want to replace the word 'Shopaholic' with 'Syphilis'. Should I be concerned?! hmm....
