Day one of my Eleven Day Hiatus.
The most consecutive number of days off I've had from work in the almost 7 years of employment. Ohmygoodness I'm becoming such the hard working yuppie.

Highlight of today's meal:
Sourdough rolls, cranberry, mashed potatoes & yam sandwich at the first place.
Then macaroni and apple pie at the second place.
Oh, and I can't forget the screwdriver :)

I tried my hand at authentic macaroni not once, but twice today. The first batch came out completely unpresentable. I decided to keep that one at home (yumm) and quickly decided the orange cranberry bread I made from a box will be David's mom's dish instead. And for some stupid reason I decided to put on eyeliner while the elbow noodles were cooking. So for the rest of the day I kept opening and checking the oven my eyeliner smudged with the blast of heat. Ugh! I was getting so mad. And my cheeks were burning up red from that too.

I must have also purchased the wrong kind of noodles because they didn't puff up really big the way I was told they should. So instead of the southern masterpice I had envisioned, it ended up looking like some random Hamburger Helper dish.

good grief!
